1. About These Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of AI Literacy School, including the website located at ailiteracyschool.com, our subscription services, learning pathways, guides, tools, assessments, AI-powered features and other services we make available (collectively, the "Service").

The Service is operated by AI LITERACY SCHOOL LTD, company number 15965166, registered in England and Wales.

References in these Terms to "AI Literacy School", "we", "us" or "our" mean AI LITERACY SCHOOL LTD.

By creating an account, purchasing a subscription or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the Service. Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory rights you have as a consumer which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

2. About AI Literacy School

AI Literacy School is an educational platform designed primarily to help parents and families understand artificial intelligence and make informed decisions about its use in family life and children's learning.

The Service may include:

• AI literacy guides and educational articles;
• structured learning pathways;
• interactive activities and learning resources;
• family AI readiness or literacy assessments;
• educational tools;
• personalised recommendations;
• AI-powered assistants or companion features;
• newsletters and communications;
• subscriber-only resources; and
• other educational features we may introduce from time to time.

AI Literacy School provides educational information and resources. It is not a school, university, accredited educational institution, professional advisory service or substitute for professional advice.

3. Eligibility and Family Use

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract to create a paid AI Literacy School subscription.

AI Literacy School is primarily intended for parents, carers and other adults supporting children.

Some resources may be designed for parents and children to use together. Unless we expressly state otherwise, accounts and subscriptions should be created and managed by an adult.

Parents and carers are responsible for supervising their child's use of AI Literacy School and deciding whether particular content, tools or activities are appropriate for their child.

4. Accounts

Certain parts of AI Literacy School may be available without an account. Other features require registration or an active subscription.

When creating an account, you agree to provide accurate and current information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials.

You must not:

• share your account credentials with unauthorised persons;
• allow another household or organisation to use a personal subscription unless the applicable plan permits this;
• attempt to access another user's account;
• impersonate another person; or
• use an account for fraudulent or unlawful purposes.

Please contact us promptly at support@ailiteracyschool.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

5. Free Content and Paid Membership

AI Literacy School may provide both free and paid content. Free resources may include selected guides, assessments, tools, articles and other educational material.

An active paid subscription may provide access to additional features including learning pathways, premium guides, activities, personalised resources, AI-powered features and other subscriber benefits.

The exact features included in each subscription are described on the relevant pricing or subscription page at the time you subscribe. We may add, improve, replace or discontinue individual features as the Service develops, subject to applicable consumer law.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Paid AI Literacy School memberships are offered as recurring subscriptions. The applicable price, billing period and features will be displayed before you purchase a subscription.

By purchasing a recurring subscription, you authorise us and our payment provider to charge your selected payment method at the beginning of each applicable billing period until the subscription is cancelled.

Payments may be processed by Stripe or another payment provider identified at checkout. AI Literacy School does not ordinarily store your full payment-card details.

7. Automatic Renewal

Unless otherwise stated when you subscribe, subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period.

For example, a monthly subscription will normally renew each month and an annual subscription will normally renew each year.

You authorise us to collect the applicable renewal payment using your selected payment method unless you cancel before renewal. Where applicable law requires renewal reminders, additional notices or cooling-off periods, we will provide them in accordance with those requirements.

8. Cancelling Your Subscription

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the cancellation method made available through your account or by contacting us.

Unless a statutory cancellation right or refund applies, cancellation normally stops future renewal payments and your paid access will continue until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.

Cancelling a subscription does not automatically delete your AI Literacy School account. You may separately request deletion of your account and personal information, subject to our legal obligations and Privacy Policy.

9. Consumer Cancellation and Refund Rights

If you are a consumer, you may have statutory cancellation and refund rights under applicable consumer law.

Where you ask us to provide digital content or begin providing a digital service immediately, we may ask for your express consent to begin providing it during any applicable statutory cancellation period and, where applicable, for your acknowledgement that beginning supply may affect or end your statutory cancellation right.

Nothing in these Terms removes or limits any cancellation, refund, repair, repeat-performance, price-reduction or other consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you believe you are entitled to a statutory refund, please contact us.

10. Price Changes

We may change our subscription prices from time to time. Any price change will not retrospectively alter amounts you have already paid.

Where a price change affects a recurring subscription, we will provide reasonable advance notice before the new price applies. Where required by applicable law, you will have the opportunity to cancel before the new price takes effect.

11. Educational Information

AI Literacy School is intended to improve understanding of artificial intelligence and its implications for children, families, learning and everyday life.

Our materials are provided for general educational and informational purposes. Although we aim to make our content useful, clear and accurate, artificial intelligence is a rapidly developing field and information may become outdated.

We do not guarantee that every article, recommendation, explanation or resource will remain complete, accurate or current at all times. You should use your own judgement when applying information from AI Literacy School to your family.

12. No Professional Advice

Content provided through AI Literacy School does not constitute medical, psychological, legal, financial or other regulated professional advice.

Information relating to children's wellbeing, online safety, additional needs, education or development is provided for general educational purposes.

Where circumstances require professional assessment or advice, you should consult an appropriately qualified professional. AI Literacy School should not be used as an emergency service.

13. Artificial Intelligence Features

AI Literacy School may provide features powered partly or wholly by artificial intelligence ("AI Features"). These may include an AI companion, personalised explanations, recommendations, summaries, educational assistance or other interactive tools.

AI-generated information may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, inappropriate or outdated.

You should not rely solely on an AI-generated response when making an important decision concerning a child, education, health, safety, finances or legal matters.

AI Features are intended to support learning and understanding rather than replace human judgement. We may modify, improve, replace, restrict or discontinue AI Features as the underlying technology and Service develop.

14. Information Submitted to AI Features

When you interact with an AI Feature, information you enter may be processed to generate a response. You should not submit information that you do not have the right to provide.

Unless a feature specifically requests it, you should avoid entering sensitive personal information about yourself or another person, particularly information concerning children.

Some AI functionality may rely on third-party artificial intelligence providers or infrastructure providers. Where this occurs, relevant information may be processed by those providers for the purpose of delivering the feature. Further information is provided in our Privacy Policy.

15. Children's Information

AI Literacy School is designed primarily for use by adults supporting children. We aim to minimise the personal information we collect directly from children.

Parents and carers should avoid entering unnecessary personally identifiable or sensitive information about children into assessments, activities or AI Features. Where we introduce a feature specifically designed to collect or process children's personal information, we will provide appropriate information and safeguards in accordance with applicable data-protection law.

16. Readiness Checks, Assessments and Personalised Results

AI Literacy School may offer assessments such as AI literacy, confidence or family-readiness checks.

Results from these assessments are intended as educational guidance. They are not clinical, psychological, academic or professional assessments and should not be interpreted as diagnoses or formal evaluations.

Scores, categories and recommendations may be generated using predefined rules, algorithms or AI-assisted systems. Their purpose is to help users identify relevant educational resources and possible next steps.

17. Recommendations and Third-Party Products

AI Literacy School may discuss, review, recommend or link to third-party AI tools, applications, websites, educational products or services.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, these third parties are independent of AI Literacy School. A reference or link does not mean that we control the third-party service.

Third-party products may change their features, pricing, privacy practices, safety measures or terms without notice to us. You should review the applicable terms, privacy policies and suitability of third-party products before allowing yourself or a child to use them. Where content is sponsored, paid for or contains an affiliate relationship, we will identify this where required.

18. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, AI Literacy School owns or licenses the intellectual property rights in the Service and its original content, including written guides, pathway content, activities, graphics, illustrations, assessments, software, website design, branding, videos, downloadable resources and other original materials.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use AI Literacy School content for your own personal and family educational purposes.

19. Permitted Educational Use

You may:

• read and use resources for personal learning;
• use appropriate resources with your own children or family;
• download resources where we provide a download function; and
• share links to publicly available AI Literacy School pages.

Unless we expressly permit it, you may not:

• republish substantial parts of our content;
• sell or commercially redistribute our materials;
• systematically copy our content;
• remove copyright or proprietary notices;
• use our content to create a competing commercial service;
• scrape or automatically extract substantial amounts of content;
• reproduce subscriber-only resources publicly; or
• use our materials to train an artificial-intelligence model without our written permission.

20. User Content

Some features may allow you to enter, submit or create content ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content.

You grant AI Literacy School a limited, non-exclusive licence to process, store and use User Content to the extent reasonably necessary to operate, secure and improve the Service and provide the features you request. This licence does not transfer ownership of your User Content to AI Literacy School.

21. Prohibited Uses

You must not use AI Literacy School to:

• break any applicable law;
• infringe another person's rights;
• gain unauthorised access to our systems;
• interfere with the operation or security of the Service;
• distribute malware or malicious code;
• impersonate another person;
• scrape or systematically extract content without permission;
• circumvent subscription or access controls;
• attempt to reverse engineer protected elements of the Service except where applicable law expressly permits this;
• use automated systems in a manner that places an unreasonable load on the Service;
• submit unlawful, abusive or harmful material; or
• use the Service in a way that could reasonably endanger a child or another person.

22. Availability of the Service

We aim to keep AI Literacy School available and functioning reliably, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.

The Service may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, upgrades, technical problems, internet or infrastructure failures, third-party service interruptions, security incidents or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

23. Third-Party Services

AI Literacy School may depend on third-party services including payment processors, hosting providers, analytics providers, email platforms and artificial-intelligence providers. Your use of some third-party functionality may also be subject to the relevant provider's terms. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services that we do not control.

24. Privacy and Data Protection

Our collection and processing of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

AI LITERACY SCHOOL LTD will process personal data in accordance with applicable data-protection legislation, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018 where applicable.

25. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect the Service and personal information. However, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for taking reasonable precautions when using online services, including protecting your account credentials and devices.

26. Disclaimer

We will provide the Service with the level of care and skill required by applicable law.

However, subject to rights and obligations which cannot legally be excluded, we do not guarantee that:

• every piece of content will always be completely accurate or current;
• AI-generated responses will always be correct;
• using AI Literacy School will produce a particular educational result;
• a particular resource will be suitable for every child or family;
• third-party AI tools will perform as described indefinitely; or
• the Service will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

27. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability which cannot lawfully be excluded.

If you are using AI Literacy School as a consumer, we are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.

AI Literacy School is supplied for personal and family educational use. Unless we have expressly agreed otherwise, we are not responsible for business losses arising from consumer use of the Service. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

28. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service where reasonably necessary, including where:

• you materially breach these Terms;
• payment for a subscription remains outstanding;
• we reasonably suspect fraudulent or unlawful activity;
• your use presents a security risk;
• you seriously misuse the Service; or
• we are legally required to do so.

Where appropriate, we will provide reasonable notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue before terminating access.

29. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account. Account deletion may permanently remove access to saved progress, assessment history, pathway activity and other account information.

We may retain limited information where required for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution or regulatory purposes. Personal information will otherwise be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law.

30. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms where reasonably necessary because of changes to the Service, new features, changes in technology, changes in applicable law or regulation, or security and operational requirements.

The latest version will be published on our website with an updated "Last updated" date. Where a change materially affects an existing paid subscription, we will provide reasonable notice where required.

31. Complaints

If you have a complaint about AI Literacy School, please contact support@ailiteracyschool.com. Nothing in this section prevents you from exercising any statutory consumer rights or using any dispute-resolution process available under applicable law.

32. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also benefit from mandatory protections provided by the laws applicable where you live. Nothing in these Terms deprives you of mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.

33. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. The affected provision will be interpreted or limited only to the extent necessary to make it lawful and enforceable where possible.

34. No Waiver

If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, this does not mean that we have waived our right to enforce it later.

35. Transfer of These Terms

You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms to another person without our consent. We may transfer our rights and obligations to another organisation, for example as part of a restructuring, merger or sale of the business, subject to applicable law.

36. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms expressly presented for a particular product or feature, form the agreement governing your use of AI Literacy School. Nothing in this section limits rights arising from representations or information that applicable consumer law treats as binding.
